Dear Friends and Well-wishers, We are proud to announce that the Department of General Surgery at Government Medical College, Anantnag has taken a significant leap forward. We have successfully begun performing advanced Gastro-Intestinal (GI) & Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) procedures, including Whipple’s procedure, Hepatectomies, Pancreatic surgeries, Esophagectomies, Low Anterior Resection (LAR), and many others. Alongside these complex surgeries, we continue to provide high-quality routine surgical care and efficient trauma management for our patients. As a newly established institution, we are still in our infancy — full of energy, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. We have much to learn, and we are determined to grow stronger with every case and every patient we serve.
